Hi,Thank You to those that helped with the knife. I could read very little of the etching on the blade. light angle helps a lot. I now see a six sided symbol Loueurs De France B.T. P. When i work on the blade the etch will be history.
"No do blar" might become my sig line. You have fine eyes. Now I can read it too!
Another commercial (non folding), cheese Lag rolleyes, from a Camenbert brand (not the best) dating of the 80s.

I e-mailed you, but Charlie beat me to it, I see.Au Nain is an old name (1885), but I thought they were specialized in fixed professionnal cutlery for butchers and bistrots. I'm curious to see this marvel
Seems bizarre the official site doesn't mention folders. Thanks for the link.In the official site, aunain.fr , no mention of folders, but gourmet-web is listed as an official dealer. I can contact them but mills are closed until wednesday. The pin pattern 1/2/2 is quite usual for a Pradel and you find it by other makers but I understand, you're interested in the unique small 7,5cm size.
LOLSeems bizarre the official site doesn't mention folders. Thanks for the link.
Yes, I think we still have the law against carrying an iron bar or other dangerous weapon such as a knife with a blade over 3" long with the unlawful intent of using against another.
Thanks for the detective work, Jolipapa. They look like good knives, but it's always a shame to see grand old logos sold into prostitution.LOL

ps Imho the german site has been granted the use of the Nain logo (without triangle and words) and the knives are assembled by an external folder specialist from fournitures - no other link with le Nain. The 7,5cm size is very rare.
Bonne Fête Nationale!
