This knife is already sold to a good man, Richard G (thanks Richard)
IT is forged O-1, clay hardened, copper guard, buffalo horn spacer, maple burl handle, mosaic pin. Prices vary according to materials.

That's a great looking knife! The finish almost looks parkerized. Is that just the way O-1 looks? It's very cool!

What a beautiful knife! Congratulations on a job well done! Bet it cuts great too. :) How did you achieve the black on the blade?

awesome! Welcome to the forums, do you have a page that shows some more of your work?

(edit)i'm an idiot, i should learn to read.

Thanks!...its all in the blade finishing...clay harden, sand to 1200, etch in ferric, wash in baking soda, polish with autosol metal polish, oil blade. that simple! it almost looks like its been blued but it hasn`t.

Nice blade! I'm curious how true the color is on the blade, is it really that black? Or is it lighter in person? Thanks!

that is very close to the way the knife looks...the spine is a steel grey/blue, the hardening line is silver, then fades to a dark charcoal grey color!

Thanks for the nice words Ron!

As the adopting father, I can hardly wait to get my hands on it!

This knife will join two sibilngs from Ron, each of different design.

Ron makes a great knife, he is really easy work with and prices his blades fairly (and they ain't too hard on the eyes neither)! We collaborated on this design via E-mail and telephone over a couple nights. It turned out pretty good, don't ya think?

Because he is an active outdoorsman, hunter, trapper and guide, he knows that field performance is paramount. His blades do perform!

For those that don't know, Ron forges his blades including some really nice Damascus.

I encourage anyone wanting a good looking, high quality, using knife to contact Ron (before he gets discovered and delivery goes out and prices go up)

:D
