Sylvester, I tried for weeks to get a picture to post from MSN. I gave up and went to Imagestation.
 
I sure like the looks of it, Sylvester! Being totally ignorant of what patch knives are supposed to do with muzzle loaders makes it a bit difficult to rate.

I love the zebra wood. Does the wood just butt up, or is dovetailed to the brass bolster, or does the bolster encase part of the wood?

What steel did you use?

Yes the bolsters are dovetailed-- is there any other way

The patch knife was used to cut excess
patching after you set the ball in the muzzle
& before you ram it down the barrel;)

The patch knife I use with my old 54 cal. doesn't look anything like that, just a blade with a antler handle. I'd be afraid I would lose that beauty, and then spend the rest of the huntin season looking for where I lost it.
