I have been off and on making for the last 10 years. Mostly off. I may have 12 completed knives to my credit and 100 or more fails. The first one I made I sold on ebay 10 years ago. I have not sold another by choice. I have many notebooks filled with hundreds of knife drawings in each. I was stuck in design mode for a season. I have made 4 slip joint folders and 1 lock back. I have given most of them away. Not sure where I am going with this. In short, I wanted to give something back for all of the learning I have done on here. I did apply to the forum a couple of years ago for a Maker Subscription but due to some mix up it was not activated and I took it as a sign that it wasn't time.

Both knives are the exact length of a SAK. I have used the SAK on several elk and deer and found it to be the ideal length for me in general gutting, skinning and quartering. It will be obvious that I like Randall blade geometry. The wooden handled knife is presentation grade walnut. Tapered tang, File work on top and bottom of tang. Nickel Silver bolsters and pins. 1080 steel from Pacific. Tempered soft. I prefer a softer knife so I can sharpen it in the field. It has been used on 2 elk and 2 mule deer. i carry it every day in the pocket sheath I made. I made the first one for my son.

2nd knife is O-1 from Jantz, which I prefer over all. This knife ended up as a cord wrapped shop knife because I forgot to drill for the bolsters. The tang is tapered as well.

I use a Grizzly grinder. Have a LMS mIni mill and lathe.

I have to run to town but will answer questions folks may have, if any, when I get back. Thank you all again this has been a nice past time.
