So I have one of the old Unsharpened pry bars aka the OLD condor bushlore, and I decided to try my hand at making a full heigh convex grind, like some bark rivers, and most of dfarmers knives. My question is, how do you reallly do the full heigh convex? do you just hold the blade flat on flexxing belt? or should you lift it up some?

You've got to control the grind. Try not to let the belt wrap around the spine area of the knife. Especially at the plunge. Leting a slack belt set the curve isn't how I do it either. I control the geometry.

Set the blade on the flat platen and roll it down from the spine to the edge and back. If you try to do it on the slack belt, it will grind a curve both at the edge and at the spine. The slack belt can be used to clean the grind up, but watch the spine.
