So I took apart my Flash 2 and didn't notice from where this small metal ball rolled out of. The knife seems to work fine without it but I figure it has its place. Anybody know where it is suppose to go? Thanks.

Have you noticed less resistance in opening it without that ball? I know some assisted openers (especially ones without blade locks) have ball bearings holding the blade in the closed position, to prevent accidental opening.

It fits on top of a small spring (tiny hole) that keeps your blade lock from moving freely within the handles.

Did you notice the small indent hole in the lock bar ? It works similar to a liner lock indent ball for the blade.

Your lock could possibly become engaged without it.
