Funny "anvil" ad

That is sad.

There was a chap on ebay who listed a "rare old antique small anvil" a few years back. There was a photo from three or four angles and no other info. One photo showed the "Peter Wright Patent England" mark. It looked absolutely mint. He said, "I don't know what it weighs but it is easy to pick up". He wanted $100 for it as a starting bid. There were many bids quickly which had already pushed the bidding over $200. I asked the seller to measure the size of the top or photograph it with a ruler on it. He emailed me that it was about 4" long and 3" high. I responded that it was probably not old at all, a miniature reproduction not made by Peter Wright, and probably worth $25. The seller sent me an email saying I didn't know what I was talking about because he had bought it at an estate sale and when he looked up Peter Wright anvils online they were selling for $400-1000. I sent ebay a note and the sale was removed.
