FYI just wanted to put this out there, especially for my fellow veterans who are members. My recent order from MONKEY EDGE was cancelled by them because of a shipping dispute months earlier in which I got the best them. So they have decided to act like a child who takes their toys and goes home when they lost, LOL

Just curious, how much did you get the best of them for.

I’ve ordered multiple knives from Monkey Edge without any problems. If you’re gloating about getting the best of a business, then it sounds like you’re the problem.

I know and have worked with the guys at Monkey Edge, and talk to them at the shows. I've had nothing but stellar and classy interactions with them. I'm not sure what the point of your post is, if there was some sort of a problem and "you got the best of them," whatever that means in this context, maybe they just don't feel it's in their best interest to do business with you anymore. That is their right, and maybe you are better served going elsewhere.

I have had a couple of problematic customers over the years, and I make sure they get whatever they paid for and usually a little extra (to go beyond even Steven) and then just don't do business with them anymore. Sometimes it's not worth it, especially on low margin items.

What we want is fair and equitable for all sides in a transaction, not getting the better of them.

I had a dealer pull that particular shenanigan on me for having the gall to have complained about a custom knife that was received in less than acceptable condition after I had asked them to, (and been told they would), check it over before shipping.

The next time I placed an order they cancelled it later that same day.

I didn't get the better of them, I simply held their feet to the fire and returned an unacceptable product. I did complain that I shouldn't have to pay the return shipping. I guess that was more than they could bear.

Looking at you knifeart.

I've dealt with Monkey Edge on a recent CRK transaction. It went smooth as glass.

If you're looking at the prior situation as you getting the best of them and them losing, I don't blame them at all for not wanting to do business with you anymore. To them, you're a risk for a repeat of a situation in which you describe them as the loser. A business transaction should have no loser.

As a business owner, politely refusing to do repeat business with problem customers is almost never a bad decision.

Obviously, I don't know the details of the situation you were in, but given that the worst consequence to you is that you're unable to buy things from a single website, I don't think you've suffered much harm.

I’ve ordered many, many things from Monkey Edge. About 4 or 5 years ago I placed an order for a massive strider fixed blade and a 3V strider nail. The box arrived in 48 hours with a 1 inch hole in the side. The 3V Nail was gone.. I emailed them and got a phone call within the hour. 48 more hours later a 3V Nail was in my mailbox with a note that read “Got you covered, that’s what insurance is for” and a few stickers. The guys in Mesa have always been exemplary in my experience. Maybe there was a misunderstanding of sorts ? Hopefully it gets worked out. I’ve got nothing but positive feedback for Monkey Edge.

I have never had issues ordering or dealing with Monkey Edge; small businesses like this have tight margins, and honestly I do not mind paying $20 for FedEx shipping across the country for items that I cannot buy elsewhere.
I guess if you are looking for support you need to explain your situation better and not act like you "won" in a situation where the business lost out financially.

Out dispute wasn’t over money. It was over shipping incidents.
Just beware of their shipping policy.
Not much help warning, if you don't get into the specifics of what we are being warned of.
As to canceling the account, it doesn't seem unreasonable if the transaction didn't go well. They are unlikely to want to repeat it. Just as I wouldn't in the exchange. But again I would like the specifics.

It's always about money (or goods, which is effectively the same thing)

Can you please tell us what took place?

Seriously, if you are going to smear a business's name here, we need more than, "They did me dirty but I sure showed them!".

Details matter. We need to know what transpired before you can expect us to commiserate with you, let alone pass judgement.

If you expect anyone to take you seriously, you'll need to explain your issue. Otherwise it's worthless.

Edit: I see Dylan beat me to it above.

This thread will be heading to an early graveyard, given the lack of info from the OP, and the preponderance of positive experiences reported by our membership.

Clock is ticking...

The OP doesn't appear to be inclined to proffer further information.

I think we're done here unless and until further information is provided.
