How To G10 finish

I am thinking about making some G10 scales for my kives. I see many photos like below. It's G10 with just a bit of texture. When I go to source the material I can't find any like it. They are sold with smooth finished on the top and bottom. How does one get this texture?

With the scales that come pre-textured, keep in mind that the profile needs to be flatish, otherwise you'll grind away the texture. So if you prefer more profile, another approach is needed. Some ideas are a checkering file, also more primitive texture from using small wheel, or dremel.

And grind away from the textured side, or parallel to it. Otherwise the top textured layer can rip off if unlucky.

I don’t know for sure but I would guess it’s bead or sand blasted in a small cabinet for that purpose.
