Hey there fellow CPK'ers. So I've been liaising with Brian of Sagewood Gear for some Randall style sheaths for the CPK-UF (Utility Fighter). Brian needs a minimum number of orders before he decides to set his templates. Brian also mentioned to me that since Jo & CPK have always been so gracious to him by providing him with many blanks already, he would not wanna push Jo for another blank (UF) unless he can put together enough orders. Jo will most likely send a UF blank should Brian have the requirement.

With 3 more UFs eventually coming to me, I will be putting an order in for 2 x SWG leather sheaths if we can get this going. If interested, please add your name to this thread which I will forward to Brian if & when enough interest whips up.

ETA: Brian is going to have the UFK aka FK2 as a standard template on his Site. This thread is about the UF, the Utility Fighter.

How much would they cost and what would the lead time be?
Do you have any pics?

I would buy one. Would the extra grind options make any difference for the shieth fit?

I should've added that I am not an agent for SWG, just a customer. I have no idea what the exact cost will be and cost can escalate with added option. I would not be surprised if the basic arrangement Randall style drop-loop is in the $125-$150 range though, but please DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS NUMBER!!! Typically with SWG there's a 8-10 week wait period. No pics of this sheath because none has been made.Again, I'm no agent of Sagewood Gear!

I had mentioned to Brian that there would be different grind options and he told me that as long as the overall dimensions were to going to be affected, then there should not be a difference in fit. This is something that Brian will need to look into since Nathan had said that he was going to change a few things on that dagger-going.

I have emailed Brian this thread's link and from here on out, I can't answer any more Qs, because I'll just be making sh*t up!

If you are putting your stamp on these, sure I’d like one.;)

I can't remember having seen him participate; however, his work is excellent (I know you already know that! :) )

I have alerted Brian several times directly via email to this thread. I had no idea that Brian / SWG was not registered on this Forum (shocked actually!).

Frankly speaking I would like to direct business toward those craftsman who not only participate in these Forums but as far as CPK goes, they actually purchase from and engage in the CPK's own community. As you know Grog would be my own only go to guy but he has pretty much retired from sheath making on a commercial level although he may do some here and there just as a hobby like he used to.

I am going to leave this thread open for a bit to see if Brian will view, review and decide to join to take care of business. If not, I will be closing this thread and I will not pursue the matter any longer.

ETA: Look below for Brian's answer.

Hey guys, Brian from Sagewood Gear here. Matt had informed me of the thread of those that had expressed interest in sheaths for the Utility Fighter. I have not handled a Utility Fighter yet, but from what I can see, it looks like my Randall sheath pattern may be the only pattern I can do for this knife. Potentially the Scout model, but I'll have to handle the knife first.

I'll put together pricing this week on what options I will have available.

^ I was just about to post that you had replied to my email informing me that you are trying to change your posting handle to one which is much more identifiable with your business if you do decide to go that route, i.e, craftsman membership and all that jazz. I would've never found you under the moniker of: Goose_52, LOL!
