Ah, so that is why! Interesting and totally makes sense. The pins on my example are ever so slightly proud, especially the middle pin but I figure it was a matter of not wanting to peen the pin so flush that it would fracture the bone. Thanks for the info.

I sat out this run, but it looks like they all turned out pretty nice. Here's an old one.....just because.

One of my favorites, would have loved the spring green sawcut as an option.

As nice as the new Amber Saw Cut is, it's hard to beat the 2016 Copperhead Clip.

I've been carrying this since last Friday. I love the knife but I'm not sure if I love the covers - there's quite a difference between the two sides. Everything else about it is top notch!

Wow, stark contrast for sure! Maybe some carry and use will darken them up and help match them up a little. Almost looks like someone snuck in some cocobolo?

If nothing else this helped me decide to put it in my carry rotation instead of in the safe.

    Is that an African Blackwood?
I guess I got lucky with mine.

Yes, it is African Blackwood. I do find the brown mottling unique and interesting, just not what I expected. If both sides matched I would have been tempted to put it in the safe. As it stands, I'm carrying it daily and enjoying it. The 77 Barlow w/ spear point is my favorite GEC so far ...

2019 set so far. Just the elusive and likely impossible snakewood to go. The hunt continues!

I see you found a red sawcut too! I'm happy I could contribute to that collection with the amber...I just couldn't see myself carrying this one, as pretty as it is.

Get this man a snakewood so that we can see a full set, assembled!

Oh, I am still waiting for my ASCB to be shipped across the pond. I can't wait to see whether or not it will be one of the nicer ones!
