The GEC NF knife that I received today had a tang stamp of 235110. The GEC web site has a "Tang Number Chart" which breaks my tang number down to:
EDITED NEC to GEC. Duhhhhhh.
23 = Pattern #23
5 = Drop Point/Skinner Blade
1 = Number of Blades
10 = Year of manufacture 2010
Now, not on the tang but on the "Certificate of Authenticity" the knife's "Pattern NO." is listed as 235110EC. What does the EC stand for?
Could it stand for "Pioneer" as I noticed that on Collector Knives they listed the knife as a Pioneer. So, could it be a Pioneer Trapper.
What do you guys say?
