Gerber De Facto Knife, looking for alternative sheath?

Howdy. So I recently purchased the Gerber De Facto Knife below. It is a beautiful thing. The sheath, however, is beyond my needs. It's intended purpose is for warriors in combat zones, rapid deployment from a MOLLE rig for up close and personal work, or so I've read.

It comes with a malice clip, which would work on a belt, but the problem is you really have to yank this sucker out, even with the secondary retention lock on (my pants and my belt came up about 6 inches and the knife stayed in the sheath).

I'm looking for a more modest sheath that can be hung from a belt and allows the knife to be removed without such dramatic effect. Does anyone know of an alternative sheath like the Benchmade one in the second image? Or would that one even work? I realize it's also MOLLE compatible, but it has other mounting options. A simple fixed blade leather sheath is fine as well. I've searched high and low for an answer, with strangely nothing but dead ends. Thanks!

You might try a search for Blackhawk or Spec Ops sheaths. I know there's a couple more like that one above.

A well made kydex sheath, like those Dave Brown makes, would be more compact than the nylon.

Check out my website we do a lot of combat knives. Let me know if you have any questions.

Gnarly! Cool Kydex stuff. Might be able to use that for other stuff.

But I think I may check out the short blade (6 inch max) Spec Ops sheath for now, then leather on down the line, like the one for my buck.

Thanks for the answers, I'll keep you guys in mind.
