Gerber EAB blades?

I just got back from a brief vacation, and rather than check a knife with my luggage, I bought a Gerber EAB there. However, the blade's a bit dull and I'd like to replace it.

Problem is, the knife that "accepts standard or contractor-grade utility blades" won't accept the good Sheffield blades that I use for everything else.

Is this a problem with the blades, as in I'm using the wrong type, or the knife? Has anyone ever tried Sheffields in one of these?

I think I've got Stanley blades for mine. The heavy duty .025" thick ones.

The irritant is that the notches for the blade retention seem to be the same spot as every other blade, but they won't allow the retaining screw to work. Maybe a pack of Stanleys is in order.

Mine currently has a serrated Kobalt branded blade. Before that, Stanley brand. I've had no trouble with compatibility with any brand I've tried, including some generics from Harbor Freight. I have not used any extra thick "contractor grade" blades like the one it came with. Mostly because I can't find them, and the thinner ones cut better.

I have come across "standard" trapezoid blades in the past (for other utility knives) that were not quite standard. Sizes and notch placement were actually a different standard, which I didn't notice until it was time to replace blades.

This may be my problem. Standard, but not standard enough. ;)
