Gerber Gator Saw III

Since this is the 3rd attempt (I think it actually refers to the blade options) is this any good.? I am not interested in sawing game. This would be for camp use. 4 to 8 inch limbs for fire wood. I am looking for something to cut larger wood than i can with the saw on my SAK Huntsman.

I think you're better off getting a dedicated saw, that you can put your hand on the back of, rather than a tool that can hurt you on both sides.

Best one for that size wood is a Swede saw. You can pick one up at most hardware stores. They come in lenghts from 24 to 36 inches. If you want one that is foldable then the silky saws are excellent.

I'll say it again get a Silky Big Boy. The one with the red handle. Or if you tend to hold with one hand and cut with the other grab one of their straight or curved saws like the Masaru or Ibuki.

i just have a corona folding professional....it has done everything i need it to do and it only cost me 13.50 at the ACE hardware store.
