I just purchased one of these knives - unfortunately it will take a few weeks to get to me - and I want to carry it on my person for self defense (legal under our laws). My preferred method of concealment is a shoulder harness, where the knife hangs upside-down, however, this knife comes with a "soft" sheath (I'm not sure what the material is called) and for the purpose of this application, sheaths made from a rigid material prove much more effective. I was wondering whether anyone might have any suggestions for me as to what I might do to solve the problem? I did think of using this sheath, but adding some rigidity to it in some way. You can see the knife at this link:

Welcome to Blade Forums.

I am moving this from the "Traditional Forum" to our sheath forum in hopes some of the folks there will have some good suggestions.

Us fogey's in the Traditional Forum are going to come up with "leather". :D.

I must be a fogey too :p as I was going to suggest having a leather shoulder rig made for it. You could use an old pistol shoulder rig as a base and go from there.
