I browse the exchange thread multiple times a day...whats with all the GM knives selling all the time? Seems at any given time on every page you can always find a, or multiple giant mouse knives for sale. I will say I've never owned one but they seem to he made from decent materials...good blade steels and handle materials at a reasonable price. I thought at first maybe they sold out of the dealers quick and people snatched em up to resale for a quick extra buck but that doesn't seem to be the case as they seem in stock everywhere. Are people just disappointed with them? I haven't read anything bad about them either so im just confused as to why there's always so many on the exchange.

Same could be said for a lot of brands honestly. I am fairly new here, but unlike a lot of other hobbies out there, with knives, it seems you can test drive quite a lot makes/models and not lose much on the secondary. I think it’s pretty cool, I was I retested in the GM Ace Riv that just released, but was certain a lightly used on le would end up on the secondary market for less.

Yeah but its usually a pretty good mix of other brands. You see it whenever a sprint run spyderco or something comes out. The exchange is all of a sudden flooded with them cause its the only place to get them. Well it seems like that with giant mouse...but they are in stock everywhere...yet there always seems to be an abundance of them on the exchange. Could just be coincidence I suppose. It just seems ive noticed a very steady uptick in the number of them I see on the exchange the last several weeks...

I got an Ace Grand (Green micarta) from a second batch a couple of months ago and like it a lot.

It's the first micarta EDC I've bought. Italian made with a nicely chamfered blade and jimping, solid action a large liner lock, Very Comfortable in hand.

I bought different models for my dad and brother as gifts this year, all had the same quality feel in hand.

I first heard about them earlier this year and it seems like some of their releases sell out rather quickly only to end up on eBay, etc...

They have released quite a few knives in the last few months and their internet presence is pretty strong leading to a flood of knives on the market o_O

There's nothing wrong with the knives. They look really good in pictures. And they work well too.

That being said, after the initial honeymoon period wore off, I quickly got bored of mine. It turned out I had paid quite a lot for a liner lock flipper and it wasn't that comfortable in the pocket (due to the flippertab), so I sold mine for a friendly price and cut my losses.

I really love my ACE Grand. The edges are chamfered everywhere in a lovely manner. Ergonomic and attractive. Bit of a thick blade for its length, but it cuts well and came pretty sharp. The liner lock does stick a little depending on how it opens- if you really snap it open, the lock travels a little further and gets a little sticky.

I would like a Riv as well. The Biblio doesn't quite speak to me, but the Grand was irresistable. I haven't noticed a flood of them on the secondary sales forum, but they certainly will start popping up in the aftermath of a drop, and GM has had several drops lately - green micarta ACE Grands a couple months ago, the Riv just a little bit ago, and the natural micarta ACE Grands, too.

I looked into them once before and never got one. Now I find myself looking at the Sonoma’s.....

Two of my most favorite knives and you will never see mine on the exchange Guaranteed!
Both are perfection in every area.

For what it's worth, my experience with Giant Mouse is great. Well made and designed. I routinely keep an eye out for what they have in the works. Chris Reeve Knives has an entire sale sub forum. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them.

Great point ! I was actually just going to add/Edit my post but I’ll just add it to my reply to yours :)
You really should not use how many are selling on the sale boards to Gauge Quality or ownership satisfaction for that matter. You’ll see Striders sell in waves, Crks have there sales section/sub forum as CBR1000 mentioned and you’ll see tons for sale and it doesn’t mean there a bad knife needless to say. I’ve sold many knives that I loved just because I needed the extra funds and or to fund others or was just board with. Most of the time I regretted selling them and end up getting another one later on lol.
