Good "muck boots" for Texas?

I'm looking at these Muckboots online only and haven't seen any in person. Does anyone have experience with them or similar muck boots? The Tractor Supply Company, Atwoods, Walmart, etc. boots just don't work very well.

The options I am looking at generally run ~$150. I live in East Texas so, "Arctic rated" boots are a hard NO! Some resistance to snake strikes would be welcomed too!

Basically, the various types of rubber boots I have tried tend to pull off in the muck, which to me means sandy soil/grass/etc. with a hard clay base about 8" to 16" down. Lifting my feet out is a real challenge and then the clean-up at the farmhouse is a challenge too. I also need something that will breathe or otherwise help keep my feet dry and cool! I realize there is a limit to how much overall comfort I will get wearing boots like this but, it can't be worse than hiking boots, cowboy boots, rubber boots, etc!

TIA,
Sid

I wear muck brand boots, but they are winter wear in Western NY state, for the snow, ice, slush, etc. I tried to use them in the mud and clay and have the same problem as you, plus they are hot in spring summer. I've been on the same hunt as you for a warm weather 'muck' boot. They all seem to adhere to the clay. I have considered trying something like teflon spray, but it seems like a great way to fall, I'm clumsy enough already without oiling my boot soles. Hoping someone has good experiences to share.

I live in South Texas. I have two pairs of these in steel toe. Safety toes were required for work. I have worn them in our Texas winters and hot humid Summers. They are warm enough in cold. Back in February of 2021 we were working in 18" of snow and ice in the Hill Country restoring downed power lines. The weather was miserable, but my feet stayed dry and warm enough. How often will we have winters like that? Probably not again in my lifetime. In the hot Summer, they are a lot more comfortable than the normal run of the mill rubber boot. Your feet will sweat, but you will not be pouring out sweat like in an ordinary rubber boot. I have worn them for ten twelve hours a day and no discomfort. Well worth the money.
When it is warm outside, you can roll or fold the tops down. They slip on and off easily. Wash clean quickly with a quick spray from a water nozzle. I have purchased one pair from TSC and the other from Cabela's.
I retired last July and don't wear them as much. Use them when it's muddy and I am feeding the cows or just walking the muddy pasture in search of feral hogs.

I wear Chore steel toes in Beaumont TX and they’re hot, don’t breathe and my feet sweat like crazy. They’re easy-on/off. I’m hard on work boots so they normally only last 9 months but I’ve been wearing these for 4 years. I bought them at Cabelas on sale for $100.
