Hey guys, I need a very durable precision screwdriver set that has almost every hex/torque screw for my knives and also doesn't strip!
I bought one at walmart, but the steel isn't strong enough and stripped on almost all the smaller pieces.

Can you guys recommend any? Or and precision sets that you're using and is doing the job for you? Thanks a lot!

Most auto parts stores (Lordco, NAPA, etc.) have good quality bits that fit into a screwdriver socket -- the kind that has a hollow handle to hold. Just get the sizes you need instead of a whole expensive set.

I've had good luck with Husky, which I think is available through Home Depot.
For a precision, high-end brand I constantly see references to Wiha.

If you are going to be using them very often, you will need to have many spares. When I used these types of bits in my profession, I purchased Philips bits by the hundreds. Cheap of not, all bits wear out and nothing beats a brand-new, sharp bit.

chapman kit.jpgget chapman screw driver set, they are ground to drive gun screws. regular screw drivers are ground for wood screws and tend to strip the heads on machine screws.

Home Depot has a "husky" brand mini flat/Phillips and torx screwdrivers for a few dollars each. Normally I don't go for "cheaper" tools but these have been really good over the years. I wish they offered a hex version though.

+2 wiha tools. Expensive, but you will only need to buy them once! Cheaper but still very solid are the do it best brand tools.

I have two Wiha micro bit sets. One with metric allen bits and one with standard. I have yet to have one strip out a screw and i have put a good bit of force on them. They are a little pricey but well worth it as the worry of stripping hard to get screws is near nonexistent with them.
This is the sets I have, the one in the link has metric allen bits.

they have a torx version and a regular phillips/flat version for around $6 each at home depot.

edit: just realized these were already mentioned. either way, consider this a second for these. I have been using one for several years now and haven't stripped any of the bits.

Go with the Wiha torx screwdrivers. I'm a beginning knife pimper etc, so I've taken apart a LOT of knives. These hold up VERY well. You have to buy each one individually, but IMO it's worth the price.

I own Wiha, Husky, and Moody tools. The husky is by far the best value. Moody is American Made and very nice. Wiha is excellent. I like their tool with all the bits stored on the shaft.

I just last week bought the wiha system 4 micro bit set for work. I had a problem with cheep hex bits rounding off or stripping the screw heads. Ive only used it for a week but I can tell a huge difference in the quality of the tool. They make a 14 bit set with slotted Phillips and torx that can be had for around 30 bucks in the right areas.

This set from Home Depot is a favorite of mine. I own six or eight of 'em because I consider them a standard tool for every tool box/kit I have. The handle is hollow and has a removable cap. There is an insert inside the handle that divides it into four compartments to store four of the five reversible bits; the fifth is to
