I guess this product has been out for at least a year from my google searches , I didn't find it in any Glue Wars. I saw this stuff for the first time yesterday at WalMart , in the past the only Gorilla products I've seen are Gorilla glue Original, Gorilla Super Glue , Gorilla Wood Glue and my new favorite product Gorilla tape. I find the tape to be much more superior to normal duct tape and "gun tape" we had in the army which was the duct tape fix it solution many, many times. Has anyone used the Gorilla 5 minute Epoxy ? It's supposed to have a 5 minute working time and workable 90 minute cure time . I found gorilla glue very good except for the bubbles but if you can reduce them from showing it works very well. The Super Glue isn't much different to other brands. Now I'm curious to there epoxy? I have Gorilla Glue, the West System which is my primary one and barge cement and other krazy glues , 3m spray adhesive and feathering tube . Anyone try the epoxy ? Reviews ?

I don't know of any product Gorilla makes that is not high quality. I use the super glue for fixtures and temporary jigs all the time. I imagine the epoxy is like their other products - high quality. With adequate clamping pressure, the original Gorilla glue is an outstanding glue for knife making. For some reason, I like the name.

I do not know if all epoxies are chemically identical.

The Gorilla fast epoxy did not hold up well when I did tests for kitchen knives where the scales were held on with no rivets. It failed about as fast as the Devcon, which is pretty fast.
Granted, that's kind of unfair to ask that of an adhesive- the only ones that showed promise were JB, PC7, and I bet Titebond speedbonder and the groovy 3m tape would do it, haven't gotten around to trying them.
For general use with physical fasteners, Gorolla fast might do the job as well as any.

I was just curious to if it had been used for handles , wood, g-10/ micarta and the results.

Hello Andy,

From my understanding, PC7 is a paste product, loved by many woodworkers

Does this product leave seams when used between two surfaces? Thank you

Yeah, it's really sticky, fiber reinforced gray paste, slow drying 2 part epoxy. It's not advertised as a woodworking adhesive per se, but seems to bond well to wood.
So far it's the best epoxy I've used for the production knives I make, though I don't use it on anything very fancy.
It does leave a line if you look real close but not one that jumps out at you if the fitup is good. Not a problem on a 40-50 dollar knife, but not so great on one that people pay serious money for.
