It's not even 6 in the morning, I'm up since 5, studying, crappy exam day(s) ahead.

Could you make me a favor? I would like YOU (i-e, everyone who have read this in silence) to leave a comment of what they think about this.

I don't really care if you say "You're a genius" or "you're an idiot", I just want you to be honest.

Would be great to have the opinion of mods and old roadies on our babies. Please just tell us if we are losing our time.
 
I got really sick last night, couldn't post the latest sketch.

no one likes guards...sucks for me. I was tryin to make my knife different enough to justify thinkin it up. cy didn't care about that and ended up with a baby bdc, which is a good thing because it makes his dream knife obtainable. as far as alternate grips go, i know i never use the ice pick grip, my fingers will always be in the grooves, edge facing out. I also have seen much weaker stainless steels hold up in flimsier configurations than the guard i drew in draft 4, but it did cross my mind that it might not hold up. anyway, in an impossible effort to please everyone, the latest draft is just barely a khukri. It has a very VERY subtle arch to the spine, index finger groove in the grip and a choil past the guard for choking up. lashing holes, jimping, flat villager finish like my bgrs. it's a design that can't really be associated with himalayan imports. i'll have to remove this from stock myself. In any case, i like it.

wow nice design magnum... i would actually like to see this thing being produced.
himalayan imports may not be associated with it but custom knife makers may.

I really am pissed about almost everything. I'm sure the only reason my girlfriend don't cheat on me is that I have no girlfriend.

It appears this thread was started on Saturday. I just started reading it today (It's a rare occasion when I get to access this forum on the weekend. :)) Some of the other forumites might be in the same boat, or haven't had a chance to chime in for some other reason. Hold off on throwing in the towel. If you're right in the middle of exams, brain-dead and sleep-deprived, chances are you are looking at things through distorted lenses - hang in there - this too shall pass. (Good luck with the exams.)

the lashing hole idea actually came from my crkt m16. the jimping is from the r-6 sarge. i do see the bussemblance, though. give it paper micarta scales and infi, then yeah, pretty much. I've decided i want it flat ground instead. maybe 5160, 1085, or 1095. i met a knifemaker a month or so ago i think i'm going to have make it for me. by the way the whole EDC aspect of it was the last thing on my mind. I really don't care to carry a fixed knife.

how does this look like the wsk? that last one wasn't really an entry for your dream edc foxy kerambit, it's just something i came up with. think i'll call it the stargazer or m22, dunno. the fourth draft, however, now has a name and shall henceforth be referred to as the Rose Petal...unless i come across a leafier, more fullery flower petal, at which point the name shall change.
 
sounds like a plan...been doin a lot of freelance work these days anyway, which is a fancy way of sayin i'm unemployed.
 
I say lose the butt-ring. It doesn't serve any purpose and it just lengthens the handle. IMO, an EDC knife should have a blade longer than its handle so that it is useful but easily concealed. I will probably grind off the butt-ring on my HI kerambit one of these days.

The blade shapes are very interesting. Keep up the brainstorming!
