Did I hear that there is a Groove with Gray G-10? If so are there any pictures and where can I snag one?

I'll have to admit that I'm confused by what appears to be different color variations available...haven't seen a standard groove with gray G10 yet, but I've seen the DLC-coated Tanto version pictured with both gray and black G10.

Examples:

Black (although described as gray):

Gray:

Perhaps it's all due to different photographic techniques...

Someone here will know for sure...Good luck!

Thanks, Mike...

However, in your example photo of the KS1730TBLK Tanto Groove Black Blade, Gray G10 the scales are darker than the surrounding DLC. Not so in the second link in my post, where the DLC is definitely darker and the G10 much more likely gray.

I have no doubt that both R. J. Martin and Kershaw know what they're doing...I love Mr. Martin's designs! The Havoc on his website, so much like the Groove but so much more, is a knife I want someday! For now I'll settle for a Groove (in no sense a negative).

Cheers!

You're right. I'm not sure which one was first. Black or Gray??

The gray scales in question.

Bottom line is that there are a lot of nice Grooves, and I think we may have come up with all the current variations.

Thanks again!

We actually had a change of heart on the gray G-10 on the black tanto Groove, and only produced them with black G-10. The early image that is posted with gray G-10 was never brought into production.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ahh...don't be sorry!

It's fun doing the research when trying to answer questions like this...

But thanks for clearing that up in your usual more-than-timely manner!

I have not seen this version available anywhere. When were they produced and any idea where to order? I have a rainbow Groove and would like this one before I get the tanto version? Thanks for all of the help!!:)
