Great Movie Knives

Jeez, what a great thread. I stopped at page 20 and I don't think anyone had mentioned Tell Sackett's bowie and toothpick in the "The Sacketts". One of my favorite movie scenes of all times is where Tell throws they guy on the bar and shaves his mustache with his Arkansas Toothpick!

By the way, the knives in the movie Comando were by Jack Crane. I saw him at the knifemakers guild show in the 80's. Great stuff.

A free knife AND a shave? What a great guy.

Something I noticed years ago, One of his best movies, CYBORG, at the end in the credits it says: thanks to Al Mar Knives

In the new movie Pacific Rim, Ron Perlman's character "Hannibal Chau" carries a balisong with gold plated grips. It comes in quite handy for him, actually.

I just saw Pacific Rim this afternoon and thought of this thread.

The knife sure did come in handy... but you have to make sure you stay and watch the ending credits !

I'ld like to get a balisong knife some day...

I got around to watching The Hunger Games last night...the main character uses a sawback knife of some sort a couple of times, no idea what sort it is, but it definitely came in handy for her. Pretty sure it's a prop knife, but I dunno if it's based on any actual design. It looked kinda goofy tbh. The male lead for a time carries a Cold Steel Bowie Bushman converted into a spear. Couple of the other characters carry unknown knives of various sorts, one of the main girls on the "villain" team carried an assortment of throwing knives(looks like your standard cheap United Cutlery or Budk sort), one guy killed another one with a kukri of some sort...various others showed up briefly at least.

Not a movie knife, but I was just watching the show "Bar Rescue" and someone was poking around the foundation of a bar with what I beleived to be a Leatherman Wave.

The scene in Expendables where they're playing knife darts and Mickey Rourke pulls a large Espadad from his boot and throws it

Gi joe: retaliation features an esee 4 or 5 in the scene where the team inventories all there gear in the gym in Washington DC.

Also a black on black Kabar, perhaps a usmc.

There's a fair amount of other knife an sword play, couldn't identify anything else.

Love The Walking Dead - this is posted elsewhere in BF but.... Endura on Lori, clipped weird....
(too bad they now have Gerber gear - product placement of bad products)

How bout some Schwarzenegger? Here's him and Vernon Wells engaging in a knife fight at the end of Commando(earlier on Arnie also dispatched a dude with a ballistic knife)

He carried a big knife in Predator as well. For that matter, most of his team carried knives of some sort, and even the Predator was packing alien blades:

Here's "Billy" with his knife/machete:

"Mac" uses a knife with a goofy saw back to kill a scorpion on Dillon's shoulder:

In Predators, Adrian Brody's "Royce" carries 2 knives. One is a Tops Steel Eagle which he wears on his vest:

and the other is a big knife/machete he wears on his hip(put in the movie as a tribute/reference to the big knives from the original Predator):

I need an ID on this knife from Jesus' Son:

Unfortunately the part where Jack Black walks back out with the knife after removing it himself is cut...
