 My choice Swamp Rat's M9 LE. The most well designed all rounder knife. To my opinion it is the 21st century's version Jim Bowie's famous knife. Blade is remarkably balanced for a 9 inch blade. Handle is a bit thin not like typical busse handle but still it is very well designed as I get a superior grip. I've over 300 fixed with most of them ranging over 200 bucks. This is the only one I keep it with me all the time on my hand. I am planning giving the blade a mirror polish so it does not get much rusting over time. Hell of a blade. :)

What are your feelings about the chopweiler?
Is it a good hardcore knife? How does the SR101 stand up?

The CG version is a keeper too:thumbup::D

Yep.. I would have to agree that the CG is definitely a keeper as well...I would love to have an LE,
but when it comes to SR101,I think I prefer it covered....

As for the Chopweiler...Well it's a beast,and definitely "Hardcore"...
SR101...? I'd put it up against INFI any day....as long as I didn't have to throw
it out in the yard and leave it for a couple of weeks....lol
SR101 holds an edge like no other, but rust can form rather quickly if your
not one for upkeep...

Got it at the last "Blade".... I think Eric pulled it out of a forgotten
"Magic Box",while he was looking for something else for me....
He pulled out 2 Bama Clays (chopweilers) that were really nice...but then
he pulled the moss out...... and well, now it has a home... :D

Hey rpn,

Can't fault your choice as you already know I have 2 myself, but...I'll meet your 7.325" res-C and raise you 2.5 inches...

The Chopweiler is the only knife I have a double of. A user and one (Competition finish ) to keep mint.

The user has been treated mercilessly. I've cut the tops off of stuck shut paint cans, chopped and chiseled ice dams off of my roof and pried a deck header off my brothers house. Not to mention the normal camping and fire prep stuff. NEVER any damage past the coating. The toughness and especially the edge holding of SR101 is incredible. It's definitely hardcore!
