These pictures are making my mouth water and are bringing back memories of Treacle Sponge Cake/pudding with brandy and topped with custard that I enjoyed while in Scotland.
Jack Black - Thanks, Jack, for those fine images of the making that delicious desert.
Beautiful black berries and crumbles Jack! They bring back some fond memories. Here in the south we have what we call cobblers. They can be made with any sort of filling from apples to rhubarb. Some of my favorite memories from my childhood were when we would pick wild black berries and my grandmothers would make cobblers. Here they were made with a simple crust that was essentially a pie crust, but of course it was put on top to brown nicely while it was being baked. It was probably because they always had flour and the simple ingredients that were required on hand in their kitchens. Yours look very tasty my friend.
Pub looks good I could see myself possying in there for a session. Have a good weekend, mate.
Thank you very much, Harvey!

Nice to know you are eating well, Jack!!
Still holding the #1 favorite of all time position. I’m still amazed with the walk and talk on this black beauty !
Thank you Jack, for sharing your day. I also enjoyed going to Il Paradiso del Cipo via their web site.Hi Guardians, hope everyone is having a great weekend I had a good day in York, and a nice meal in a Sardinian restaurant there. We went there before and enjoyed the food and the unpretentious atmosphere - they even have a large TV screen on the wall (sound off thankfully), which seems to show Italian football constantly! The owner is a real larger than life character, whose portrait takes up most of the rest of the wall space, with half the menu being taken up by his autobiography! The food is good though, and we've failed to get a booking a couple of times before. We were the only diners not speaking Italian. I kind of hate seeing people taking photos of food in restaurants, but as we were the first diners in the door, I snapped a quick one of my Hartshead Barlow while the waitress was getting the wine
Snapped this one a little earlier in the day
Did I mention I had blackberry crumble?!
