Oh, ok. I had one of the first kimber 1911's years back and it came with the same smooth looking grips (which I still have laying around) and the same looking trigger. If I remember right the Ithaca's orig. had checked grips? Anyways, fine looking pistolas!

Those grips are Koa. I bought them during one of my Hawaii assignments. That pic doesn't show them well. Pic was taken to prove I owned those firearms to shut up a mouthy anti-gun know-it-all on a forum years ago. He challenged me to post a pic of the pistols on the hood of a car with a cup of coffee. A few minutes later I took that pic, uploaded it, and posted it.
