Processed our cattle over the weekend. The wife was carrying her Colt Mustang. I guess a guy could tell it was a Colt from the holster:
She was also working in her new armitas style "shotgun" chaps we'd made her just a couple of days before.
Tyler was wearing his Christmas present from his wife Cara, one of the new Kimber revolvers. Their son had me make the roughout holster with their brand for his Christmas gift. Tyler is also wearing his new "shotgun" chaps, which I literally finished the night before.
Me I stuck with the trusty ole Glock 43. Thats how we like our cows. Concerned about their babies but not blowing snot down your collar while you're working.
The pancake style holster keeps it high and tight, no flop especially important when you're roping.
Cara was wearing her pink Shield but it doesn't show in any of the pics cause it was a cool day and her sweater covered it.
Those bear hide wooly chinks of hers are the single most involved and complicated project that Horsewright has ever done. After a couple of years she decided she wanted to twist the fringe as a finishing touch. That alone took eleven and a half hours. I told her I'd show her how to do that and she got it done over two days and a day for them to dry.
We shot that new Kimber too and it was pretty sweet.
