This thread has me Jonesing for an AK. But an SPR AR build won't go away!

Hoopster, loving the Saiga conversion. I've considered that route. Did you do the conversion yourself?

Shotty, every time I see that DD rear sight I want one for my KISS carbine.

Yeah, the conversion is pretty easy if you use internet references and at least have a drill. Punches and a dremel are nice but you could get by with files and using a phillips screw driver as a punch. At least as far as I can remember.

How do you get those mags to fit in the XD? Is the recoil bad or just the muzzle blast???

The Generation 4 G19's are out now (I imagine the 23's are too, or soon will be). I handled one two weekends ago at a gun show. I'm hoping to add one to the collection next month.

Been hard to do much time at all on forums, or get to knife shows, since having a daughter. Fatherhood is GREAT, but it does take a chunk out of my time.
