Gunsite Counter Point

Cool ! :)

But I'm happy enough with the AUS10A , regular black PE version , I already got broken in and waved .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

My reaction having never held this one.

Aus10 is good steel, which is a nice change from the low end junk most of 2020s offered.

The counter point has a Triad lock, so that's awesome.

4" blade on a dagger? That's silly. Piercing weapons need length to reach something vital. Small defensive knives need the ability to disable by cutting, and a dagger is perhaps the worst choice for that. If someone wants a folding dagger type knife the 5.5 tanto, the Frenzy, or the 6" counter point would all be better. Can't recommend the Luzon because it is made in China -- knock that sh1t off Cold Steel, it is shameful.

I hate half serated blades. They do everything poorly. Maybe they would be better if the tip end were serated and the hilt end plain, but even then...

Off topic, but how about delivering the previously promised designs, as well as the out of stock stuff, before offering new collectibles.

Anyway it looks like an okay collectors piece that I won't buy. Maybe if it had Cooper's signature or something? Hell, the Gunsite knife should have been the 1911.

I don't have a grip problem so CF/Micarta would also be nice, G10 more practical. Not gonna hold my breath though.

I can't believe there isn't more excitement about this! Cold Steel hasn't made a Gunsite model in many years, and the Counter Point I was a great choice to use. (Because of its excellent ergonomics and reasonable weight, it's actually one of my favorites--an underrated, underestimated model, in my opinion.)

The knife looks amazing and feels even better in hand. This one definitely is going in my pocket on a regular basis!

After the discontinuation of the 2009-10 plans to make updated Gunsite Voyagers (https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/updated-gunsites.1340292/#post-15399818), I had written off the possibility of Cold Steel ever offering another Gunsite. I'm really glad they chose to revisit the idea.

Now how about a Counter Point XL version to pair it with?!

I just ordered one of these.
The XL is the only one I have of the Counterpoint series and is more of a novelty for me I never could carry it.

Now this size and since it is half serrated has my interest.
This has a chance to be an edc for me.

I’ve had this for a few days now and it is a very nice piece.
It kinda reminds me of my Hold Out II but with a little more substantial handle grip.

I think I may check out a plain edge version now.
