Sorry if this thread has been posted before. I think maybe it has, but i'm not sure.

Guys' that have a Tuff, how do you like your knife ? Anyone who has 1 that uses it for more than light duty.... really uses it the way it was

made to be used ?

I've been trying to pull the trigger on a Tuff for a few weeks and keep going back and forth. Does the shorter blade with the

Big choil bother anyone ? I'd rather have .5" more cutting length than a big choil.

I have carried my Tuff a few times, but i have never used it for very hard-use tasks. I will say that the shape and feel of the knife are very pleasant. When you use a traditional straight knife for a while then jump to the Tuff you can really gain an appreciation to the forward tilt of the blade rather quickly. I love my Tuff. Would buy one again in an instant.

How is the 3V holding up for staining? Is it somewhat resistant like M4 or is it insta-patina like super blue?

I like mine a lot - but if I had my way I would get rid of the choil and make the handle a little longer.

3V seems like overkill for a folding knife - but this one is stout enough for hard use. My 3V has not stained - I wipe it down with a little mineral oil after each carry.

The lockbar takes a good amount of thumb strength to disengage as the cutout is close to the end of the bar.

The fit and finish is very good - although mine did come with a few sharp edges - around the hole and along the fuller - nothing a little steel wool cant fix.

I personally would like to have more cutting edge and forego the choil.

If you like big brute like folders then you will like the Tuff.

choil is worth the edge loss. If yu ever had a folder close on your fingers you would agree. In a tuff hard use folder a choil is a logical compromise to increase safety. I cant see any cutting task that would be sverely hindered and made more difficult because of the choil.

doesnt matter how good the lock is its a folder.

My Tuff grew on me after a few days. I must have got a good one because its buttery smooth and flicks right open to a rock solid lock up.
For me it is very comfortable in hand and carries well for its size. I am happy I decided to keep it.
