Habilis Bushtool or SRT?

I'm looking into possibly purchasing either the Habilis Bushtool or SRT and I was hoping for some input from anyone that owns, or has had any experience with them. I own the Habilis Pathfinder Trade Knife but want something bigger and more capable with larger tasks etc. I like the idea of the SRT being a heavier chopper, choil, and the dog bone pommel, but I'm wondering if it's really more capable than the Bushtool. I'm not sure I dig the looks of the ferro rod notch being right above the choil or how practical either may be. Is it worth the $29 extra? My first thought is to go big with the SRT since I already have the Trade knife, as well as similar sizes. Very few reviews or videos on the SRT, or comparison videos, and I can't put my hands on either of them personally. Thoughts, suggestions, and advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It sounds like you are on the right track, SRT would be the way to go since you already have trade knife which is similar to bushtool. Good luck

I believe the similarity lies between the 'bushtool' and the 'srt' not the trade knife. the cutting edges are within 1/4" of each other between the bushtool and the srt. the chole on the srt steals a lot of blade area. srt would probably be the better chopper.
good luck and let us know which one you go with.

the SRT seems another of those market driven compromise blades. It's neither 'fish nor fowl'. I personally would carry a belt ax, and a decent knife. Habilis seems spendy, for 1095 steel.
