Happy birth day to all marine brothers

Glad I read your post; I hadn't even realized the date yet today. My buddy and I have spent the last 13 years competing to see who can be the earliest to wish the other a "Happy Birthday." Looks like I might win this year.

I was just going to start a Happy Birthday thread myself, when I saw this.

To all my Brother — and Sister — Marines past and present, wherever they may be, Happy Birthday!

No matter where you served, when you served, or in what capacity you served, you were first and foremost a Marine, and part of the proud 235 year tradition of our Corps. From the halls of San Diego (or Perris Island), to the shores of wherever you are now, Happy Birthday to you and to our Corps.

The world over, Marines are gathering today to read Gen. LaJune's message and cut a cake. Some of these AOs are dangerous, and filthy but with brothers by their side, they are having a memorable celebration. To the past and present Marines, thank you for what you've done for our Country and for what your doing.
