Hard Use Fixed Blade

The only two fixed blade brands I use nowadays is Busse or CPK. Either of those has models that should serve you well for a lifetime.

Maybe this suggestion is too obvious but isn't the Esee 5 almost your Ontario Rat 5 without the finger choil?
My pics show a small sharpening choil that I filed in there myself.
If you can live with the sabergrind on the Esee vs the flulflat on the Ontario.... and a slighlty thicker stock iirc.
