Has anyone really tested a Behring Made Knife. I just scored one in the exchange. I was wondering if anyone has any solid reviews on them. Most of what I’m seeing is light task or “Safe Queens”. They are expensive and beautiful so I understand why I’m not seeing much. Was just hoping to get some input. Thanks

Jim would be disappointed if you didn't use one of his knives, at least occasionally! That's what they're for! And I guarantee he's not overly concerned about whether or not you consider it to be hard use, he's used them harder than you probably will....

This.

Not sure which of his blades you ended up with, but most of Jim's designs are intended for hunting/game processing, field work, general camp chores etc. If your definition of 'hard use' falls under those parameters, they are up to the task.

Just a thought, but you could always call or email Jim, and discuss your particular knife, and it's abilities, directly with the maker.
I've been around custom knives and knife-makers for more than 40 years. For solid using knives, Jim Behring is easily one of my
favorite makers.

So, which model did you get? I really like his Scagel-style knives, in particular....

And it's a double skull! I'd use that one without thinking twice, beautiful knife!

One skull for his normal bad-ass blades, double skull for his really serious combat/survival/fighter models. This one will probably out-work you.....

Use them without fear--they can handle it, camp and trail
