Harpy Recommended Draw?

I have a Harpy, the all-metal model.
What's the recommended draw on this item?
The action is a little bit too rough for
a flip, and additionally the position of
the clip makes the knife sit wrong-way-up
for a flip opening. I can do a catch-the-
handle-on-the-pocket open holding the blade,
or a handle-flip open from holding the blade.

What do you people advise?

Sometimes when cutting fibreglass packing
tape, every split second matters.

Personally I like using the Spyderhole to grip the blade and make the heavy handle do the work. I usually only use the method with my Standard and my Navigator. I also find it works well with my Baby Wayne Goddard and Carbon Fiber Ladybug. From what I hear this is the best way to utilize a Concealex neck sheath also.

In a serious situation, I'd rather get a firm grip and use my thumb on the hole to open it. Flipping is a cool trick, but not safe enough in an emergency, IMHO.
Of course, YMMV...

Yes, that was an excellent thread, tulsamal.
I laughed at the part about people looking
at you strangely. Reminds me of the time
I found Balisongextreme.com. And I just...
could not... resist. Trouble was I was at
work at the time.

Are we strange or are the normal people
strange?
