Has anybody tried Superlock?

I see some tempting WE and Civivi knives, but that Superlock bar protruding above the top of the handle looks uncomfortable.

That's only on one knife, isn't it? Never heard any owners mention that as an issue, not on the ergonomically similar Shark lock either

There is the WE SNECX Vision R currently in stock at various dealers and the CIVIVI Vision FG that can be preordered.

The Shark lock looks like flipper tab--so much so that I often inadvertently try to flip it. But the Superlock bar runs almost the entire length of the handle.

I guess I would have to ask what exactly you fellas plan on doing with a folding knife that would result in the lockbar causing you discomfort? You aren't going to try to push-cut through a tree or process a stack of cinder blocks into convenient strips, are you?

I had to return the Vision R due to the sharp 90 degree corner to unlock that thing. Not a comfortable knife to operate.

Life’s too short to deal with dumb designs. :D

To be fair I haven’t used mine in any situation that required me putting body weight in to it.

But I haven’t noticed it to be pokey.

Got a WE Vision R… Never had an issue.
The lock bar on mine definitely isn’t “sharp” or obtrusive by any means, and never heard such complaints before either. In fact, all edges in the handle are very nicely chamfered and is very comfortable.
Ergonomically, I don’t notice the lock bar at all in use. It’s easy to lock/unlock/flip. A very nice design that I enjoy.
I thought I would be annoyed with the pocket clip on the spine, but it turned out not to be an issue for me either. Not optimal, but also not an issue.
I’ll be buying the CIVIVI Vision FG when it’s out, for sure.

I've tried it on the Vision R, and it's not uncomfortable in-hand. It didn't take long for my thumb to learn where to sit for different grips.

It is, however, too thin and a touch too angular for my tastes. Compared to the thicker, more rounded Shark Lock protrusion on, say, a Demko AD20S, the Demko is miles more comfortable to actuate than the Vision R.

I would agree that the Demko Shark Lock is a better execution of that type of lock for daily use. Action feels better, jimping is better. Although they’re adding jimping to the Vision FG, so I’m excited to see how that’ll change the feel in hand.

The advantage Superlock has is how easy it is to clean.
