Took a quick spin down to the wharf before heading up to a sunflower production field.

The whales were putting on quite a show! Sorry for the poor pics...I used my phone camera.

Carried the trusty Endura 4 in VG10 today.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m with you, I am not interested in much of the tourist offerings as well.

Before and after a strip of just the blade.

The BK10 is such a great all around knife. I’m a big fan of Beckers!

I've got one incoming myself .

Do you find that the blade is slicier now? Less drag / resistance, or just mostly sexy eye candy?

    Thank you!

Well I just stripped it about two hours ago, but I would think it’s safe to say the blade surface has less friction and and tiny bit thinner now the thick coating is gone.

If I was only going to use it as a woods tool I would have left the coating, but I want to use it to prep food, so just to be safe I took off the coating.

I think the BK10 is a great all around rig and I am seriously considering grabbing another.

Cut up some Mahi-mahi caught yesterday and panko fry in the wok. Using my Kai Wasabi in 6716 M.V. stainless. Great kitchen knife at an affordable price.

Odd culinary question, do you do anything with the collar or the bloodline?

The Mahi-mahi bloodbones we discard or use for crab bait. Aku or Ahi bloodbones we fry and eat. Delicious!
