Who’s in for the new Hawk Talon? The knife utilizes their Hawk lock and toggle detent. Pretty nifty. The action appears to be superb. Check out Gavin’s and other’s YouTube videos.

The drop is tonight via the email newsletter. Here are the drop details:

Date: Wednesday November 20th 2024
Time: 6:00 pm Mountain Time
Total Price: $950
Deposit: $300
Inlay Options: Mars Valley, Black Dunes, Dark Matter Polar, & Arctic Storm
Blade Steel: M390 - 3.5" length
Handle: Titanium

First wave will start shipping in about 3 months. I am in for the mars valley outlay. Here is a pic from the pre-drop email:

I am a huge G&G Hawk fan. I have one deadlock (had quite a few through the years and sold them for the next one).
 
I submitted my pre-order within the first few minutes, so hopefully I am in the first wave of shipping. Mars Valley!
 
I would like to try their stuff I just don't like the process to buying something.
 
Never heard of them. Where are they manufactured? I did not see any information on their web site. And their name just says "Designs". So are they a design house which outsources the manufacturing? If so where?

It's my understanding that they produce knives in-house in the USA, and that's certainly the assumption about this particular model from what I see everywhere online. If you've heard of the Deadlock OTF, this is the same maker.
 
Still on their mailing list & got advance info on the Talon but I haven't been interested in anything they've made since the MUDD auto.🤷
 
I have my order in. I've learned my lesson on missing drops for Hawk knives. Outside of the Deadlock and Shortcut, they damn near become unobtanium. When you search around for stuff like the MUDD and Orbit, you find nothing but posts from people that regret selling them.

I'm one of those who regrets "trading" away his MUDD for a bali that I he still has but I haven't seen another MUDD at any price to buy back since then.

Oh well . . . 🤷‍♂️

Anyone get their invoice for final payment yet? The first batch should be shipping soon.
 
Nothing yet. The 20th will be 3 months, so I wasn't really expecting to hear anything until then.
 
Hawk posted on Instagram a few days ago about fitting the locks on the first batch. And that they would be shipping out soon. They all appeared to be the black dunes inlay.

BTW, my order # is 163x.

My number is pretty low, so it should be very soon.

Wow, I didn’t know the preorders for the Talon went up that high. That may include preorders for Deadlock drops, but they seem to be pumping out a lot of Talons.
 
Got my shipping notification yesterday evening. Package pickup scan today. Scheduled delivery Monday. I can’t wait! I’ve been binge watching YouTube videos on the Talon. I can’t wait to experience everything you stated live!
 
Just got mine! It exceeded my expectations. Video of the greatness below. I definitely will be in for future releases of this knife.
