i searched the kabar website and can not find out heavy bowie , have been discontined?

This was really the best performance blade in the kabar line-up. Cost much less than the Bk-9 and performs on par our better

If we're lucky, they're planning on doing an upgrade with full tang and removable scales in the shape of the kraton handles.

should still be a ton of them out there....no fighting guard no tactical sheath or serrations for the ninjas so they lay collecting dust in the warehouse

I guess so, but on large knives like this I do like at least a half guard.

I guess so, but on large knives like this I do like at least a half guard.

if u have ever held one there is a substantial squaring flare as a guard.....I would be fully confident on not sliding up stabbing into something with a firmgrip

These are pretty awesome blades. Glad I got two of them while I could. Along with my BK-5, they are my only Kabar's to date but I am in need of a fillet knife and I see on the Kabar website they have a couple. Might have to get one for the summer setline season.
