I'm a new member to the forum, but a long time Fiddleback User. Thought a short introduction was in order since I will be hanging out around the fire admiring your steel. A little bio: middle aged surveyor who loves the woods and always has an Andy Roy work of art on my hip. Fridays frustrate me cause you guys are to fast, but every once and awhile I am on top of my game and actually beat you.
The Aerete is my go to woods knife and the Handyman is my all time favorite edc. I do have a soft spot for the Nessie family too. I like long walks, good meals, and sitting by a fire. With a Fiddleback of course! 20201116_100458.jpg20201116_100555.jpg

Looking forward to watching your Fiddleback experience and sharing some of mine.

Oh, and I heard new members get to put in a custom order with the shop. I will spend the rest of my day contemplating the important things in life.... A2 or 8670, wood/macarta combo or Osage, trinity pins or a beauty mark....

Have a nice day!

ps: whats up Bmurray Bmurray

HI Tristndad Tristndad welcome to the forum!! It sounds like you are no newbie to Fiddleback Forge. Looking forward to seeing your posts and comments!! Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome Mistwalker Mistwalker and Choppaman Choppaman

Sorry about missing out on that Kephart. I wanted that one myself, but decided to concentrate my energy on some Cocoblo. It was a good decision cause I finally scored, it's been awhile.

Thanks Bro. That would have looked good in my Fiddleback Forge Bloodwood collection. BUT, another one will appear some day I suppose. Keep my fingers loose and ready for the buy button. LOL. What did you pick up?

I picked up my first Duke. Not usually into big knives, but I'm looking forward to this one. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy beating on it.

That was my second target. If I was able to get the kephart, I was coming back for that one. LOL :D

Welcome! Fairly new myself but everyone has been awesome around here. I personally enjoy seeing the pictures and stories behind a knife. My favorite thread would have to be ... the Thursday preview.

Hello Fiddleback junkies! I too have been lurking here for years. I live in Canada so it's hard to get a Fiddle back here. I am never fast enough on Fiddleback Fridays, but was lucky enough to get a red burlap recluse from a US forum member. By far my favorite knife even though I have over 10 other custom fixed blades. I've been wanting a Handyman or Hiking buddy for years, but they rarely show up in forums and sell very quickly. Of course US members prefer to sell to other Americans so it has been frustrating. If anyone has one up for grabs used, please let me know. Again, I really respect the community here and will keep following.

Cheers from Canada!

Welcome aboard! Next thing you know you'll be taking a chainsaw file to the handles....
Thanks for the welcome. I usually end up grinding the tips, but you never know maybe a little handle customization may be in order. I believe I have seen a Bushcrafter with a pretty cool homespun handle job (or was it a Loner?) to use as motivation.
