Help identify a axe from maine

I believe it to be a snow and nealley axe. The only markings I can read on the axe are “Bangor, Me” and 1 3/4. I tried to look at other s/n axes to compare the stampings and the only ones that look similar are the weight.

I’d like to know if it’s the Chinese version or possible know how old it could be.

That is a Snow and Neally Hudson bay for sure. I don't believe the heads that were made in China were ever stamped other than the weight under the poll. And even then I think (emphasis on I think) the font was very different. Yours appears to me to be from the 80's. Perhaps a little older. I've got 2 myself and gave a third one away. In addition I've seen many dozens over the years. So it's its not all guesswork! :thumbsup::D
