Hi, my first time on a forum, can anyone help me identify my case pocket knife? Ive got close but a few things stand out and make me question it, plus i have not been able to find one anywhere online that matches whatsoever, i would greatly appreciate any help. Im not sure how to post the pics but on the main blade it says . . . .
CASE XX
. . . .
that is how it is layed out on the blade, you can barley see the 4 dots on the bottom whr the knife is locked in out position they are hidden by the bolster, the second blade says

Need pictures for identification. Clear, in focus pics of the entire knife and any markings on it.

4 dot indicates 1986

pattern number 3254 should be a full size trapper in yellow delrin handle covers.

I didn't post a stamp. I posted a product description from a knife shop along with their catalog picture of the knife they have for sale.

The knife in your pictures is a trapper, but with a pocket clip. But I think the date I provided is off. In 1986 Case was not using straight carbon steel. Their non-stainless blades were marked "CV" for "Chrome Vanadium" steel. Yours is marked "C" for "Carbon Steel. Case only recently switched to straight carbon steel, so that's a recently made knife.

I knew it was made of carbon steel cuz it has the cs under the number but I have not seen any that have an extra c after the number, it also says when I look it up that they used carbon steel back in the 1940 to 1965 ones also so I'm a little stumped

I see 8 dots. Looks like a 2022 model.

The “C” after 3254 most likely stands for Clip if the pocket clip was installed at the factory, which I think is a good possibility. If it’s a do it yourself clip then I have no idea what the C means.
