I just found a 2.5lbs double bit axe that says "Made in Sweden" on one side of the poll and "2 1/2" on the other side. Its rusty but i can see black paint in the middle and it looks like there was a sticker at some point. I'm unable to find any similar axes online doing research. I am currently soaking it in vinegar hoping i can see a makers mark possibly. Any ideas on what it may be?

Can't see the pictures, but it's most likely one of the big 4 swedish manufacturers.
Gransfors Bruks, wetterlings, Hults Bruks, or Hultafors.

Yeah im not sure why the pictures didn't work. It was painted black in thr centre which is odd to me for a swedish axe, it seems to be of high quality.

Could have been spray painted at some point.

I'm sure there's no hard fast rule, but blue seems most common for the old swedish imports.
