Help me identify this sword

My grandfather who served in WWII is moving out of his house into one of those senior living homes. I was helping him clean out his house and we stumbled upon this sword that he got from Europe when he was in the war and he gave it to me. I don't know anything about it and I can't findmuch about it but it'd be really cool to get some information on it. On the handle (Idon't know if that's the right word. I don't know anything about this stuff sorry lol) itsays "CONCAIVI ACIDARI VICTORIA.DECALLIS ADCANNAS" and on the other side it says "CONSALVVS ACIDARIVSTVP CAL' DEI P R C D DICTA TOR III. PARTA ITALIE PACE IANVM OLAVSIT"
