Hi guys

I stumbled across this forum whilst looking for knive designs.

I'm a tattooist and my next tattoo is going to be a knife on my arm with an inscription.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to knives although I do know the difference between a stanley and a bowie :D

I basically want your guys help so if you could post some cool blade pictures that would be great.

To give you an idea I'm looking for a oldskool jagged edged combat knive of some sort with the curvature at the back, others will be considered though.

Handles not really important as I will be designing my own but include them for reference

Cheers
Dave

Thats excellent, being a survival knife its exactly what I'm looking for, were the handles with the reverse points generic?

Keep them coming

Smatchet!

There really weren't any combat knives with jagged/saw edges that were commonly issued, but if you want "old school", look-up the WWI knuckle knife, KABAR knife and V42 stiletto for knives carried & used in combat.

Just make sure you don't tattoo "knive" on yourself!

How about this one ? It is called the Alaskan Harpoon, by Tops. Great knife & VERY comfortable & ergonomic & has multiple hand positions for different tasks.

There are really soooo many good choices to pick from.

I believe you are looking for more iconic-looking combat knives?

Aside from the Buck mentioned earlier, look into Randalls:

KaBar

Gerber

or maybe you want something wild and really over-the-top

Wow, thanks for the replies lads really appreciated.

The Randall, Buck and "oldskool classic" posted girlymann are exactly what I'm after as references but I will be influencing them slightly with some of the "grayman" and "Mantis" knives.

CWL-Yeah I noticed the spelling mistake, I'll make sure I dont ink it :D

Marcinek-This is the reason why I dont want to go completely traditional with my knive design because of the font used and what it says- I'll post it up once its been inked as a thank you for all of your help.

Cheers again guys
Dave
