I would appreciate some help identifying a pair of Cold Steel Japanese swords.
I purchased these at the annual Cold Steel warehouse sale about 10 years ago (+/- 3 yrs).
They were not in a box. They were in dark blue cotton sleeves.
They have been on display in my bedroom since.
Specs-
The swords have an overall length, from end of pommel to tip of scabbard:
Long sword- 29”
Short Sword- 20.5”
Blade length of blade from tip to tsuba:
Long sword- 20.75”
Short sword- 13.25”
There are no stamped markings on the swords.
I have no expertise with Japanese swords, but am trying to educate myself.
Can I generically refer to them both as Katanas?
Regarding length, they both fall within blade length of 12-24”, are they specifically Wakizashi?
I am trying to identify a specific Cold Steel model, but come up with: dragonfly, warrior, emperor, chisa, mizutori crane, gold lion, and masahiro.
Any Cold Steel fans help ID the model of these swords from the pics and description?
Thank you for your assistance.
