Hi everyone. I'm new here.
I recently acquired this knife, which looks like an Indo-Persian knife from the late 1800s (if you can trust Google). Any help identifying and dating it would be greatly appreciated. The sheath and handle are wood with a thin metal layer. The tip of the sheath is no more (probably had some kind of metal tip?).
Regards
Lefty

Welcome to BFs,........It would of had a Brass tip on the scabbard Like the Remaining wrap of brass with a continuation of the pattern tooled into it or complimenting that pattern. Those have been made for the tourist trade including British Solders that served in the Raj for trinket/gift to take home for the past 200 years” or so. One for a Prince or other man of status would have one that was Jeweled with Silver throat & tip. Hard to nail down a date. Keep it as is.. don’t clean it. You will diminish any value ....
