It has been suggested over on the Bushie site.

That you guys combine the handle of a Mark ll with the blade of a Mark l Deck Knife.
Since I have been asking for e 5.5" Mark ll for years, I thought I relay the request.

Maybe when you put down the crack pipe and those Space Force Knives,
This could be a future undertaking????

Thanks for your consideration.
LV,

They actually need to make it with the birds beak pommel the ww2 specs called for. It adds about 1/2inch to give a better grip.

Left is the current one Right is ww2 vintage KA-BAR made USN MK1 deck knife.

Middle is a post war KA-BAR with a Birds beak pommel to show what a difference it makes.

Also notice the blade on the current one is narrower and missing a lot of belly. It’s like they copied a worn knife.

The Bird's Beak,
That would help!

I make no bones that I love my standard KA-BAR.
My Dog's Head has been a superlative tool.

But I definitely see a place for a 5-5.5" version. Perhaps the Mark l blade or a shortened Mark ll.

I think (Although I have no actual Marketing training) that there would be a huge market for it.

I think it would be perceived as less of a fighter, and more of a woods tool.

Sorry about the Crack Pipe Crack!
I'm actually looking forward to the KA-BARS in Space video series.
I have been very entertained by the videos posted on KA-BAR's web site over the years.
"Zombie Train" springs to mind. That's where the crack pipe idea came from.
Many are obviously tongue in cheek, I was just returning the favor.
