Mr. Parker,

To illustrate my point under the other thread, here is another "bogus" knife from you folks! e bay #6609658569

This is being offer on e bay as yet another Schrade D'Holder found in the Schrade factory. Now, if you'd done your homework, you would have known that the Schrade D'Holders (SDH1, SDH2 & SDH3) were each distinct. The the Maple Burl handled knife was made exclusively for A G Russel by Schrade, limited to 400 knives, AND bore no serial number!

ooooops !! point made, eh?

And, look here:

"The knife is a Schrade/D'holder custom collaboration Ram's Horn Drop Point Hunter. "
"Made from BG42 steel the overall length is 8 1/4 inches while the modified drop-point blade measures 3 3/4 inches. The guard and pins are crafted from 416 stainless steel and the handle is beautiful Stabilized Green Maple Burl. It comes with an attractive leather belt sheath and felt lined nylon pouch with zipper closure in the original factory box. Serial # 562 is engraved on the blade. This is one of the last to come from the Schrade factory and is being offered here with NO RESERVE."

Hey MVP,
wouldn't want you miss this since I posted it over on the "welcome" thread !
................................................................................................

aha, now I know where he went!!

years ago I banished 'NotMee' from my house (you know, whenever you ask little people "Who did that?" the answer was usually "NotMee!".)

well, it appears that he wandered all the way down to them thar hills of Tennessee!

of course, being upstanding, truthful, honest, moral, ethical and trustworthy businessmen, you only did what was "right" with all the truckloads of material from the Schrade factory!!

and, since the 'poor 'ol bank' needed your help, you were only too glad to help another rightous, upstanding business out!

sorry, my head is hurting from falling off the turnip truck!!!

Hey Delander, this is not my auction!!! If you are going to accuse us of something then get your facts straight!!! We are not the only ones on ebay selling knives. The SDH3 was the green burl handle and there were 1000 serialized pieces made, it is all right here in my magic computer. As a matter of fact I have 2 sitting right here in front of me that have never even been unwrapped, serial #'s 559 and 555 and they were indeed some of the last found in the factory. So sir I have done my homework and your point has not been proved. And by the way I see no problem with the other guys listing, looks like an honest straight up auction to me. Now if you had done your homework you would know that there are 2 different D'holder series, maybe this is the series you were speaking of. I think you mean the SDH03, not the SDH3. Boy, you guys are really in for it now that someone here knows what they are talking about. Later--- JP

LOL, how is it that your respone elicited no surprise? It's 'Not Me's" fault, of course. I ought to have known. And, with it being in your own computer - have you never heard of "GIGO"??

You, and you alone are the originating source of the "7 truckloads" of Schrade factory pickings. By your own admission, too!

There were two Schrade D'Holder collaborations. The first being the Millennium Series: SDH1-Stag, SDH2-Maple Burl, SDH3-Green Maple. The second being the Anniversary series: SDH01-Grizzly, SDH02-Ram, SDH03-Elk, SDH04-Whitetail, and what was to be SDH05-Eagle.

Yeah, you really know what you're talking about! Like the Schrade D'Holder "Prototype" that was recently listed.

I have not listed any D'holder prototypes so I don't know what you are talking about. What I have sold and what other dealers do with them from there is none of my business. I am not the only person selling Schrade product and this deal was made with BRK, they had just as much stuff as we did. Once again you have not proved your point. And were did this "not me" thing come from. I will gladly tell you what I have sold and what I sold it as, just ask. I am as honest a person as you will ever run across. I still don't get what you are saying about the auction on ebay, the guy is selling a legite SDH3, what is your problem with his auction??? JP

I don't get it either. What's not authentic about that knife?

And why you bustin' JP's chops? It isn't his auction... Neither was the bogus "Prototype" auction.

Aha! I get it about the "prototype". It has a Factory Collection certificate signed by Kevin Pipes and Phil Martin stating that the knife is a prototype. You can read it clearly in the auction photos:

(I hope it's all right to post link, since the auction is no longer active)

Regardless Delander, MVPKNIFE is neither Mr. Pipes nor Mr. Martin. I hope you don't hold him responsible for their shortcomings in Schrade knowledge.

Best Wishes,
-Bob

I have now looked at the auction for the prototype D'Holder, this is not a knife I sold nor is it a Certificate I sent out, this COA came from BRK. But in defense of this auction there were several Pre-production D'Holders that came out of the factory. I had several in a box that was clearly marked pre-Production samples, these came straight out of the factory. I have heard that there were only so many protytypes and that they were all clearly marked but these were finished products, you must understand that they did have to go through a tooling process as well as test handle materials to see what would look the best. So in my humble opinion this knife is a genuine unnumbered enginering prototype. take it for what it's worth but you are talking with someone who played a large part in sorting out of the product that came from the Schrade factory.
