  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hibben pro folder

Founded out the blade lenght myself 4 3/8
The lock on the folder is liner lock and it has been said to be tough. Does anyone have experiences about it? is the lock really good?
I don't like liner locks much but the knife seems so good that I'm thinking of bying it despite the lock.

I doubt you'll find much praise for Gil Hibben's knives here. Mostly, his stuff is for display. He does a lot of fantasy knives, and movie props (the Rambo movies featured his blades). The Pro Folder uses 420J steel, which is about as low quality a steel as you can find. You can get a far, far better knife in just about any brand for the same price. For example, Camillus EDC, Spyderco Endura/Delica, CRKT M16, Benchmade 10300, Kershaw Vapor, and others.

Thanks for the warning. I think I try to find something else. Any suggestions? I'm looking for big folder. Blade should be about 4-5 inches and the lock shouldn't be a linerlock.
